Hi guys

Can someone explain to me in an understandable manner as to how I can check for EC error codes on a GT4?

I'm going to go see a 4 soon and would like to look this up but I've no idea as to where it is in theengine bay or how to check?

This link here seems to summerise it all but I need picture.

ECU Error Codes

Has anyone done this before? Also what do I do if I do find a fault?

If the fault had been fixed will the code stay or will it clear automatically?

:help:

I don`t know if it`s the same type and location on a 185 so i`ll leave this for the 205 boyzzzz.:thumbsup:

It also says how to do it on that site.

Clicky.

Basically bridge Te1 and e1 pins and count the flashes. If the engine light flashes constantly at a steady state, no errors have been detected since the last reset.

I dont know where E1 and TE1 is? Can someone post a picture for me please?

the diagnosis port is located just behind the suspension strut on the right... very easy to see and it actually had 'DIAGNOSIS' written accross it. pop the lid off and inside the lid is a little map thing that shows u exactly where e1 and te1 are  i looked at this today
