Verso Headlights

I am about to change from my current Avensis T2 to a Verso tr 2-2 D4D I found the headlights on the Avensis very poor on dipped beam are the headlights on the verso okay.

No, Verso headlights are just as rubbish! There is no option to upgrade to the gas discharge ones (well there wasn't when I got mine).

I decided to upgrade to the 50% brighter Osram Silverstars - but they are very difficult to get in the HB3 and HB4 fitting.

In the end, I got them from a lovely girl called Melissa who runs www.a1autobulbs.co.uk. She doesn't list them on her site, but she can get them - just call or email her. I think I paid about £20 per pair plus postage.

I thought they headlamps were OK, but just seen some PIAA Xtreme Force bulbs on eBay which are xenon look bulbs for Verso, it does look good as guy has picture of them on his Verso. Not sure if anyone else gone for these type of bulbs..?

A number of Avensis owners have had problems with the bulbs melting in the lamp holders making them impossible to change and have had to purchase a new lamp unit or replaced under warranty

If your verso is still under warranty you should check to make sure the new bulbs do not invalidate it .

cheers for the headsup, he said they use 55w only, but he hasn't had problems with these.. dilemma..
