Anyone had any experience with D-4D chipping??

Any thoughts on the best product, etc??

Also has anyone put an induction kit on the D-4D?? Will it actually help?

I looked into it, i have the Dcat T180, company called Tunit diesel performance, tune both the D4d engines without a remap, all units just plug into the ECU for about £350, it takes the bhp to 205, and on the 140, it takes it to about 160 bhp, i think??

Have a look

(sorry for my english in first)...

I'm owner of Toyota Corolla Verso 2005 2.0 D4D 116KM. After PowerBox tuning I have something about 150KM. My PowerBox has three programs. One which will work always, second which will works almost always and third which works only sometimes. They told me that I will know that the program is bad just after starting the engine. I have third program turned on and after 20 000 km I can say that I have no problems at all. I think that this is normal because Toyota is selling his own PowerBox which works in the same way and which is making 146KM without loss of guarantee. That is why there is special place on engine where You can plug this PowerBox WITHOUT using any screw driver and in 5 minutes it will work! You can see this in center of engine, just in front and just below top cover. There is cable which is connected with two plugs. You must just unplug those and plug each in special interface and that's all! Just start Your new engine. And the best is that 5 minutes before service You can unplug whole thing in same way and You will not loss Your guarantee.

I bought my PowerBox here:

I noticed that lindop motors are offering TMC power boost chip sets for £395 for all Toyota D-4Dengines , giving at least 20% more power.

How much do thy charge to fit it, or is it very easy with a set of instuctions provided?

(I am a first time diesel owner, and a very reluctant mechanic).

Does fitting one to an 18 month old motor invalidate the warranty?

How much does it put on the insurance?
