This was given to me as a gift ages ago.. had to extend it as i never got round to booking anything in time! and ive got a choice of the following places.

It says that the driving time will differ from place to place due to it being a group activity... :bookworm:

These are the places where i can book myself into... Where would you lot suggest?

Ti Rally School - York

Everyman Racing - Loughborough

Silverstone Circuit - Towcaster

Knockhill Racing Circuit - Fife (not a likely as i aint traveling to scotty land!) :P

Vision Motorsport - Oxfordshire

Brand Hatch - Kent (miles away)

Oulton Park Circuit - Chesire

Manby Motorplex - Lincolnshire

Rallyschool.co.uk - Worcestershire

Rallyschool.co.uk - Shropshire

Dynamic Drivers - Western-Super-Mare (mles away)

Drive Me - Staffordshire

Langley ark Rally School - Essex

Finally after all that... Where would you guys suggest to go? Now rememebr its a rally intro course.. so i want the best place to go for rally and not track racing..

Cheers in advance...

DONT DO IT

my wife got me one for Xmas 4 years ago

loved it that much i then got a rally nat b race licence

bought a car (4x4 sap cosworth) left hand drive ford built, cost a fortune to race (7 mpg)

swapped it for a Toyota (see my gallery)

had Toyota's ever since

rallying costs a fortune but its great.

as for schools

i went to brans purely because they had escort cosworths(was a big ford fan) they have 2 off road stages

believe they use pugs now

but a very good school, Martin Samson (Rally GB Driver doing very well with Peugeot) was my instructor

ENJOY

Ha.

Dont worry about me getting hooked on it. I have already had that experiance from my first track day at .... erm.. the Nurburgring! *yes i am nuts

Since that day I have found myself wanting to spend monies on more trackdays... went to Bruntingthorpe straight after and it seemed a doddle and way too tame compared to the ring...

So next year im going back again but this time in my GT4 as opposed to my old beloved MR2 Turbo.

I have been to Everyman Racing - Loughborough. I took the gold course and it was the most fun i have ever had with my clothes on.

The EVO was amazing, and the instructors were mad but in a good way. The last instructor of the day was trying his best to unsettle me on the gravel track by grabbing at the wheel and handbrake. Not in a nasty way.

I bored all my friends and family with the details for weeks after as I enjoyed it there so much. You will be standing round quite a bit, but if you take someone along or end up in a group where everyone gets on its a great way to spend a day. I am even smiling now remembering the fun I had.

All I can say now is i'm jealous

If you were more local Fizz i'd recommend Brans

they use a factory prepared Pug 206 or a competition-spec Escort Cosworth.

but end of the day its up to you mate

The Vision Motorsport one is supposed to be quite good (Oxfordshire), although I've never been, and don't know what cars they use...

Vision Msport one is good - had mine there a couple of years ago. Spent pretty much the entire day with the female instructor shouting at me ...

I've been on the Everyman course in Loughborough and had a great time. As well as the Evo I also got to drive a 4WD Daihatsu shopping trolley (big laugh) and a rally VW Polo. They did have a RWD car but I didn't get chance to drive it. The Evo was top fun.

If I do another one I'll look for somewhere offering RWD cars such as MKI or MKII Escorts, I think you may find the Ti Rally School in York offer RWD Escorts.

I've been to vision to do a junior rally day last year and my dad used to be an instructor there. The other instructors are a good laugh with clarky being the crazy one and andy corner being the stupidly skilled one :P Both good fun, as are the other instructors, and know their stuff (both rally drivers from thame motorsport club) I just asked my dad and atm they use puma rally cars now. I remember a while back there was a survey of these kinds of days and they came top  Hope that helps!
