Avensis Performance Mods

First off all, i want to say im new to car mods and im very interested in gaining some knowledge. Well, i have an Avensis 2001 with a 2.0ltr 3S-Fe engine, non vvti with an automatic transmission. I've doing some research on the internet lately regarding mods especially engine mods. Im ordering some NGK Iridium Spark plugs and a K&N air filter. I have also looking for some ignition upgrades, like coils and such.

I've seen a lot of Avensis on the forums and internet with a load of engine mods. But anywere i see any description of them. Don't get me wrong i don't want to make my car a 10 second car. But to add some juice to the engine and make it feel more powerfull.

So the question goes out to people with engine mods or knowledge of them.

Any ideas on what to fit to a 3s-fe engine?

I don't know how the traffic laws are in your country. But you could fit in a Gen3 3S-GE 175hp model or a never Beams engine (3S-GE with VVT-i, 210hp). The all fit the same engine mounts.

Well, the laws in my country are really lax when it comes to cars. All you have to do is to have all your papers and license plate up to date. I mean i've been living here my entire life and NEVER heard of anybody getting a speeding ticket.

But the thing is i want to get some extra power out of my current engine, don't wanna swap it.

That's why im looking for aftermarket upgrades that i can fit to it.
