Hi All.......noticed the other night when i got into my car,,,the sat nav were i stick it to the windscreen had left those tell tale signs that you have sat nav....I noticed the circle suction marks, on the glass as, it had just gone dark and the inside of the windscreen had misted up. I do clean the windscreen when i have took the suction base off,,but i was anxious that any idiot can tell i have the sat nav system,,even though its not stored in my car,,,,i dont fancy my car bein broken into ..for nothing :ffs: what do you suggest to make sure the "circle marks" are not left on my windscreen :help: P.P.

Or keep some baby wipes in the car to clean it with.

If you are that concerned (maybe its a problem in your area) then why not get a little sticker made up saying that there is no Sat-Nav system left in the car at anytime... however, this might draw even more attention to the fact.

hello......i was shopping at the Trafford centre when i noticed it but i would imagine that sat navs are the latest most stolen item or are responsilble for car break-ins,,,,just didnt want to ask for trouble,,,i would imagine though that this is the "first winter" for sat nav owners and they are gonna come across the same,,ie when window mists up you can see the circle were the suction has been :o P.P.

Great idea. The baby wipes, that is. Not sure about the sticker though.

Actually, you see the suction cup circle as the screen mists up because it's probably the cleanest bit of glass you've got on the whole screen.

Car windows mist up quicker the dirtier they are. The moisture condenses around the dirt particles which give it a "key".

Come to think of it, my car is filthy at the moment and needs all its glass cleaning before I do a fair bit of driving this weekend.
