Removed My Airbox Restriction Pipe Today

HI ALL, IM NEW TO THE OWNERS SITE,BEEN READING ABOUT TOPICS ON INDUCTION KITS AND DECIDED TO REMOVE THE AIRFLOW RESTRICTION PIPE LIKE A FEW OF YOU GUYS HAVE DONE,JUST REPORTING TO SAY THAT ITS MADE A GOOD DIFFERANCE TO THE CAR, THROTAL RESPONSE IS ALOT BETTER,AND ENGINE SEEMS TO RUN ALOT SMOOTHER ALSO SOUNDS GOOD TO THANKS FOR THE ADVISE AND WOULD RECOMEND IT TO ANYONE. IV HAD MY T SPORT FOR 6 MONTHS NOW ITS 02 PLATE AND ONLY JUST DONE 15,000 MILES,GOING TO LOWER THE CAR SOON AND ALSO WANT TO FIT 17 INCH WHEELS AS THE TYRES ARE CHEAPER! AND WOULD LIKE TO FIT THE SIDESKIRTS FROM THE FACELIFT MODEL ON DO THEY FIT STRAIGHT ON???? CAN ANYONE HELP?

hey........i tried to remove this pipe too and got as far as taking off the airbx.......couldnt get at the part where the pipe was bolted to the bodywork.........utter frustration!!! twice i tried n twice it beat me!!

i got rather large hands so is this the problem?am i looking for a nimble hand man..............

anyone got any advice........gotta get this off before i lose the rag n pay fpr a typhon kit........

try taking the Battery out alot easier!!!! But really really you can't beat the typhoon kit. When u take that pipe out you do feel a difference and it does last a week or so but a typhoon kit is this feeling x10 at least its alot but worth it! Believe me i've fought the urge for nearly 12months but crumbled after a LUPO GTI beat me off the line!!!!! what the??????????

Anyway things had to be done. It comes with step by step pictures and instructions just fpr the T-sport. Looks the nuts and just class boys forget the 57i kit go for it.

P.S if u still can't afford one do what i did and take the bottom half of the airbox off get some GOOD tape and get a K&N panel filter £50 and stick it to the top half. So its kind of an improvised induction kit. Did me for 6 months and more feel than just taking off the pipe. Its not far off the typhoon kit as when i did buy one and put it one there obviously was a better result but not a massive one! But would be from a standard air box to TYPHOON

If you are a cheapskate like me, then you can only but try the free mod before paying for a filter.

You need a 10mm socket on a extension to get to that, then there will be a fir-tree just above where the passenger headlight bolts in.
