Hi all, I have not checked the forum for quite awhile, I have just found out that the 06 Avensis come with Cruise Control as standard. I have a 05 150bhp t4 diesel and would like it to get the cruise fitted . so can it be done and if so how much.

I don't have much information, but when I was considering a pre-reg Avensis a couple of months back, the dealer (in Swindon) did say that cruise control could be retrofitted but...

a) it wouldn't be cheap

b ) the dealers don't do it, but they knew a company that would

c) it would void elements of the manufacturer's warranty

As I say, that's probably not much help, but maybe better than nothing! Your local dealer may be able to point you in the right direction.

I would add that it is an excellent feature, I use it constantly. Don't know if an 'aftermarket' unit would be as good as an original Toyota one, ie would it operate as smoothly etc etc?
