Quiet Tyres On 17" Wheels

Hi, has anyone replaced the stock dunlop sp3000a tyres on their t-spirit with another brand or model? Mine are up for replacement and I'm looking for the quietest tyre. I'm also aware that the newer t-sprits come with 215/50 tyres instead of the 215/45 - has anyone tried this larger profile and did it improve comfort?

I think tyre noise and harsher ride were two of the biggest complaints about the 17" wheel cars so that must be the reason for the change on the latest models. My 2003 Avensis was a lumpy ride so I had 16" wheels on the next one and that improved things no end.

Other people have said much the same things on here but I haven't seen anyone give an opinion about the new tyres. Maybe the best way would be to try a test drive at the dealers. :)
