2002 Sequoia front end noise - right turn

I have a 2002 Sequoia SR5 - 2wd 9,xxx miles. I have a noise - grinding/clunking in my front end. This only happens when I make a sharp right turn on wet roads, usually slight uphill - forcing weight shift to the rear. I would suspect wheel slippage on a 4wd, but not a 2wd. Has anyone had this type of noise.
