Interior Courtesy Light

Hi,

I have an April 2003 Corolla T Spirit. How do I get the interior light to come on automatically when I park at night and take the key out of the ignition and open the door. It used to come on automatically (and switch itself off automatically) but it doesn't anymore. I have looked in the manual but the description does not match my version of the light I have. I have a button next to the light which I push for the light to come on but have to push it again to turn it off. The manual shows a light with a 'On', 'Off' and 'Door' setting, but I have no such switch.

you sure you don't have 2 interior lights ? (i know i do)

the one right at the front is a courtesy light (on and off button)

there is another one further back (in the middle of the car) which is the door light.

I have to agree with chenks. I have an 03 CTS and the middle light (in between the driver and passenger seats) has an on/off/door switch next to it. The lights at the very front only have on/off.

Yep, I am being a bit thick. I forgot there are 2 lights! Sorted now, thanks.
