Baleric Or Speedway Blue?

I have been trawling the internet for hours to try and find a touch up paint to hide some minor scratches on my 2003 Toyota Yaris T3 (Colour Collection) in a colour which I *think* is called Baleric Blue.

I checked my car's documentation from the dealership they had handwritten the colour code 8P1, however when I searched with this it gave me a result of "Speedway Blue" and I am not sure if this is correct. I could not find a colour code on the internet for Baleric Blue.

Does anyone know where I can get touchup kits the correct colour or be able to mix the correct colour. As I said the scratches are only minor, but I love my car and they irk me somewhat when I am giving her the beauty treatment of a wash'n'wax'!!!

Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.

Rgds,

Suzi

Your local Toyota dealership will supply you with the correct colour touchup paints.. and they are reasonably priced @ approx £10.00. This way you are sure to get the right one.

There are only two bright blues for the Yaris

Carribean Blue (P1 - 99-03)

Balearic Blue (P2 - 03-05)

As yours is a T3 you will be looking for Balearic Blue... Speedway Blue does not exist as a Yaris colour, but the code is 8P1 as far as I know.

You just need to pop to Toyota and ask for Balearic Blue

I've just ordered a touch up stick for the Yaris Blue from the local dealer, when I called he asked me what the paint code was & I wasnt sure, so he asked for the reg, searched on the database, said he'd order it in and cost £4.71!

I sent an email to my local toyota dealer.. .and got this in reply.

Hi Suzi,

8P1 is your colour but the type of paint does not allow a touch-up to be

done on the paintwork.

My best advice is to buy a polish with blue pigment in it and polish the

area a few times until the scratches disappear.

Best regards

Michael

Makes sense I suppose if they are only minor....

When you say minor do you mean swirl marks or an actual scratch through the paintwork? You can get a polish called Meguirs Scratch X which is great for swirl marks
