I've recently got a Gen 7 140 (only know it's a Gen 7 from some of these threads :D ), am looking at getting a new stereo at the end of the year (one of the screen jobbies with telly, dvd player and all that), think i got the idea of how to get the original out but have am clueless when it comes to which one is a good/bad one, if any of you have any experience with these things i'd love to know how you get on with them as i haven't the foggiest as to which one to get.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Quality is usually dictated by price! Spend £150 on a stereo with dvd, tv etc etc, chances are it'll be a bit rubbish. Spend more, and it'll get better. Without knowing what your budget it though, its difficult to suggest anything

Alpine's and Pioneer's are always brilliant units. JVC's and Kenwoods are good. I have no real experience of Sony's so can't comment. I think if you have a poke around the net, find a few things you like the look of in your price range, and come back to us with links I'm sure advice and recommendations will come flooding through.

Agreed. That was the one I was gonna come out with as well, depending on budget available!
