Gen 5 Gtr 4ws 2.0 Help Please !

Hi to all you Gen 5 2.0 GTR 4WS Owners, basically im looking at buying one of theese exact models and just need to no is there anything i should be looking out for before i buy, ie with the 4WS Etc or anything else, also just to add the last major service including MOT Came to an asstonishing 2600 yes 2600 so that made me a little wary but the chap selling has told me everything that has been done and i shouldnt have to pay anything out for a while accept maybe a new clutch soon as sllipping now and again, just to give you an idea its a J Plate immaculate 2.0 GTR 4WS With live sound system , and 103k , 900pds what do you think? oh and would a Sunroof be easy to have fitted on one of theese from a sunroof dealer, electric would be great..

Hi Brian. Sounds ok. A new clutch should cost around £200 if you go to one of those fast fit places. You really need to make sure the 4WS system is working properly and that the warning light for it is connected. Some unscrupulous people take the bulb out if there`s a fault with it. It`s expensive if it goes wrong. Other than that, 900 sounds fair. Don`t know about a sunroof though. I imagine you could get a glass one put in easy enough.

Hi and many thanx for that and yes will ask about the light bit regarding the 4 wheel steer, also i hope it dosnt go wrong after all it had as you no 2600 pds spent on the last major service and mot together, that was the worrying bit !! but ye think i may go for it, oh and if the 4 wheel steer did go or something as i no nonthing about 4 wheel steer, will the car still drive ok without it ? probrably a silly question !!, oh and the cheapest ive found for a clutch fitted with 2 yrs warranty is 275...the 1st quote was 500 !!
