whoa, crazy co-incidence. Great results btw!

I had my VR6 Highline rolling roaded today in standard guise (minus the broken z-eng charger :'( ) and it made 192.9hp and 229 NM/169.5 lbs/ft peak torque. Not bad for a 130k Engine! :D

Maybe you can tell, I've fallen for VW after i sold my corolla due to it burning a **** load of oil constantly.

Did you stop at peak power rather than go to the red line? Plenty of revs left in that engine :D

I've heard that removing the intake restriction is good for 10bhp or so which I guess is how you've got it over 200. Presumably it was quite a cool day as well?

very cool day lol and wet !

i didnt have no choice when to stop as u dont actually drive it , but the guys know what his doing

the scoobies all stop at about 6000 revs so rolling roads never go to your highest revs just your highest peak power / torque

Don't worry, alot of 1.8 Toyota engined cars will soon see the same fate, it appears to be a toyota wide issue.

What you have to remember Mike is that Turbo cars can sometimes suffer from irattic boost and maybe thats why they take it to redline.

A mate of mine with a GTO took it to the same place we went to and pushed out 305bhp but that was after a couple of drops in the power range. He had a problem with irrattic boost and this can be common on older turbo cars.

Nice results by the way. Bet your chuffed.

yeh 189 bhp as standard so being 4 yrs old i woulda been happy getting that again lol just chuffed that a couple of well placed mods can see a good increase and just enough to take it over the 200

Your VR6 4WD?

Seem to be losing a hell of a lot of power through the trans

Great result Gem! Almost exactly the same as mine so it proves the worth of the K&N Typhoon once again! :toast: For every newbie who logs onto TOC and asks "which induction kit" I don't want anymore debate... GET A K&N TYPHOON!!!!!!!! :D

By the way I've just got my new car... after debating which 'hot-hatch' to buy, I didn't buy a Focus ST, a Corolla Compressor or T Sport... I got a Premier edition Civic TypeR in Cosmic Grey! It has it's merits (handling and Recaro interior) and it has it's downsides (road noise for one!!!) but overall it's a super car.

And... the first mod this Xmas will be........ the K&N Typhoon with a PiperX cold air feed :P

Well my last five cars have been Toyota: a Corolla T Sport, a Corolla GXi, a Corolla G6, a Glanza Turbo and I still have my Corolla AE86 so don't panic just yet! :P I heard all about your Scooby but you'd got it back by time I heard!!!
