Emina 2.2td, Really Slow When Cold

Hi, I have an Estima/enima 2.2td(1992 k reg). When started from cold (starts easily) and i go to pull away, it is reeeeally slow, even when the green turbo light comes on its painfully slow, once it has warmed up i bit its fine and drives ok. I have a good basic knowledge of cars, but know very little about this car. Any help would be great.

My Estima is exactly the same. I just put it down to it needing a bit of time to get going after a rest like I do.
