I know this is sure to raise a few laughs but........

does anyone know if its possible to modify a 96 rav4 for offroading that's a little more serious than a gravel/dirt track??

I used to do offroading in suzuki sj/samurai's and wanted to return to it but using something a little different

As I have said before, the RAV4 will never cope well on serious offroading due to the lack of low range plus ground clearance. Get a Land Rover.

We hired a mark1 in Cyprus a few years back and i was surprised how well it did on a few off tarmac trails we tried it on and in the snow on the mountain :D

When it was delivered to us it was looking well used so we took attidude a bit of rough stuff would not hurt it

The RAV4 stands half a chance if its fitted with off-road tyres, but thats only going to give you traction, it has not ground clearance or axle articulation , so you're going to come to a quick stop on the bumpy stuff :( .
