Ok guys, im starting to hunger for more power, and i got some bucks in my pocket to do some power mods.

this is what i got so far

Apexi AVCR set boost to 1.1 bar

HKS (denso) sparkies

Lightened Flywheel

Exedy 3 puck clutch

De-cat downpipe

HKS silent hi-power

ARC induction box

The chassis is pretty much upto a bigger job than its doing right now apart from i'm missing a rear strut brace, getting that soon as the type flex cant be too gentle on the rear struts.

im thinking a target of 400bhp with torque to boot and here are my ponderings.

Internals but how much to fit? and do i need just pistons or rods too?

Better turbo, i been looking at the fensport CT20b so its the 20b thats on rev3 onwards yeah?

I dont want much lag either so that seems to be a really good choice, although its only rated to 360 :S

Injectors will go without saying, regulator and pump also, but can these standard handle it?

ECU choicing is apexi power fc links (from thor) or MAYBE motec, depends on my choices.

Can anyone also reccommend agood water injection unit for a fair price? I think i heard someone on the forum makes his own?

Thanks guys :yahoo:

I'd go for a manifold and turbo kit from xs power mate. People have slated them in the past, but many people now run them with no problems.

I'm sure your internals etc would be fine to 400bhp.

i got a friend on my uni course from the states, he says the xs power turbos some were found to be epoxed together and crack like nobodies business :S

and its so hard to find an 8 bolt manny

I think you'll have to uprate your internals for a genuine/reliable 400bhp. I could be wrong though! Expensive way to find out either way!

With regards to water/methanol injection, go with Paul Port's dual pump (single pump also available).

Absolute quality. Good price too.

In the summer, on full boost (peaks 1.35bar holds 1.25bar) my charge temps never exceeded 40oC. Before WI, I was getting 50-60oC charge temps, and that's even with HKS Type S Race intercooler.

See this thread... .: Clicky :.

i've read in mags of people running upto 500bhp on standard engine using bolt ons to improve power, i think its all up to the guy mapping your car.

I mean i've seen it in mags and obviously its true cos its in a mag! lol but it does seem a bit stupid to run so much on standard internals. I wonder how much the stroker kits from rogue will cost :P
