Help Needed! Corolla G6r

Hi folks, another newbie here. Iv got a toyota mr2 T-bar(minted) but back on topic.... :P

My mates got a corolla g6r, but theres something not right with it!

when he brings it down a gear (second, and even first gear!) coming up to traffic lights etc, when the cars revs come lower down towards idle, it starts jumping and jolting forward.

we've had all fault codes checked.

any help on this would be HUGELY appreciated!

hi and welcome - now i'm no mechanic or anything but had an mr2 do the same (revs drop quite low as if the car was going to stall) and it ended up being the idle control valve/sensor... does your mates cars' revs drop or are they up and down...?

Yeah, thats what it does - like it wants to cut out.

Its had many different people pickled with it! No one can figure out whats up.

Will mention this to him tonight!
