Uk Prius Voice Commands

Hi!

I'm about to order a UK T-Spirit Prius but I may have a problem looming with the voice recognition system!

Please can anyone in the UK tell me if the full set of the american voice commands are available in the UK model? I'm trying to say "Address.." on a demonstrator to start to input the address (as the US model can) but the UK Navigation is simply refusing to accept it! Do I have to press the <dest> button first?

Does anyone have a list of UK commands?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ravi

There is a list here:

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Prius-...6%20Checklists/

...you will need to join the group.

"Address" is not a listed word. Actually I did not know it was a listed word on the US version either, and if it was it would be nearly useless, wouldn't it, since an address cannot be input on either model while the car is in motion. Note that you can tell it to go to any of the six quick access addresses, or just say "go home!"

Actually, I've a little more digging into this and I've found out that, as usual, we in the uk have had a knobbled version of the voice control system - a sort of 'voice lite' if you will.

Just take a look at what the US voice navigation system is capable of and then ask yourself ( I know I have) why we're paying 60% is more for the lesser specced car.

click on "how to."

and then "How to input an address using voice navigation"

Apparently the UK nav package has had all this functionallity dumbed down for us poor brits.
