Would a 3s-ge engine from a 1991 J reg celica gtr fit correctly into my 1993 K reg gtr??

Is it worth getting a new engine when my dead one has only done 78,000 miles or should I look at reconditioning my engine???

Should fit with no problem. Both are 3S-GE engined. And the !Removed! typically keep specs the same until they make a revision. Later ('94 on) engines are slightly different in respect of ECU wiring and maybe the odd sensor. So you should be OK.

Cost wise i think you may be better off with a replacement, Which if you get from a reputable place should carry at least a 3 month gaurantee. Rebuilding is expensive but at the same time you have the comfort of knowing it`s been done with new parts and should be quite fresh.

Cheers, decided to get the engine out of the J reg, so now just need to get it fitted....
