I have bought a Garmin 310 for my Aygo and mounted it permanently (glued) on the dashoard. I love it, but i don't like having to feed the AUX to the stereo and to feed the power through the cigarette lighter (too many loose cables). Does anyone know if it is possible/easy to drill a hole through the dashboard and then connect power and AUX permanently to the garmin socket ?

Best regards,

you should be able to, you mite have to do abit of DIY to mount in and fiddle with the ciggaret lighter socket so you get the two power wires (+, -)

then up to the 12v and ground in the back of the cd player.

As for the AUX if its just a mini-jack then that might be a problem and im not sure how you can over come it but if you know your circuit board you might be able to hard wire it into the 'AUX track'

However if you look at the Head Unit Pinouts for block C

Then you may be able to figure sumit out on here, I think the AYGO Explore uses this so you sould be able to as well.

C1 = line-out left rear +

C2 = line-out common ground

C3 = line-out right rear +

C4 = line-out left front +

C5 = antenna/remote +12V OUT

C6 = line out right front +

C7 = n/a

C8 = n/a

C9 = n/a

C10 = n/a

C11 = phone in +

C12 = phone in ground

C13 = cd id (data channel)

C14 = n/a (possibly control channel)

C15 = ground

C16 = +12V OUT permanent (feed for Changer)

C17 = +12V switched

C18 = CD-changer line-in ground

C19 = CD-changer line-in left

C20 = CD-changer line-in right

Dont blame me if you cant do it beacuse i dont know myself im just if you have a look and confirm all the wires and connectors then we might be able to come to a conclusion as to what pins you need to use.
