7age Conrods

Hi all I have recently got my 7AGE conversion into my AE102 (Corolla GXI) and she pulls good but ... I know there is a lot more she has to give. I'm going to put in a megasquirt EFI fuel system, with my ITB start of next year but for the summer I was hopeing to get stronger con-rods.

Problem being I can't find any. I sure reading some where that con-rods from another car or maybe it was a bike fited but can find the article again.

Does anyone here know anything about this or I'm I just going to have to get some custome ones made up for mega ££?

P.S. If you know anywhere in the uk I can get custom conrods made that whould be great.

I'll have more info in the next few weeks been running the engine in for about the past month now. But I can tell you I pull just as good as my GTI and there is alot of toruqe and power going to waste due to my still using the 7afe gearbox. Will get some stats off the rolling road next few days i'm off.

hi there

dont know a lot when it comes to car performance parts but when building motorcycle race engines i have never looked past 'carrillo' rods, never ever had a failure (up to 16,000rpm) and very light, they will make to order i believe but also most off the shelf.

Sweet dude looks like the kind of people i'm looking for. Going to compre spec's to the 7AFE rod and see what I can get
