Problem With D Cat In Cold Weather

Good news for me today - ECU will arrive in 2weeks, so probably we will not have real winther by then. And I hope, that the change of it will help.

Meanwhile I got offers for some alternatives (Subaru Outback 2.5, Audi A4 1.8 T, Passat 2.0 TDI), but none of that could give me such pleasure in driving. 400Nm and 177HP is amazing combination, therefore I will forgive this one (small?) problem :)

Yes please, forgive this small problem (let Mr T. solve it) and let us know what you think of the car with this problem fixed.

The only complaint I have is that the car comes with a standard audio system which I don't like and which I can't replace. Other than that, I really like this car. Very quiet and very fast.

Could someone explain me more about this problem, becouse in my country toyota dont sell d cat engines.I have D cat but from Germany.Tell me more about the problem and how to solve it

The problem:

difficult start in cold weather (below +6). using starter for 6-15 seconds, then engine starts (sometimes second attempt needed). problem appears not every moring, on average 2-3 times per week.

The solution:

changing of computer. the dealers were not so keen to explain in more details, but as I understood 'between the lines' - this is known problem of D-CATs and the will change ECU with no discussions.
