Tns200 Installation Loom Needed

Hey folks

Sorry to bother you all but I need some help!

I have a 2000 (X) Rav4 with the double DIN stereo/navi head unit. I bought a TNS200 set up through eBay which came with the grey 'computer' box, map disc, GPS antenna and a wiring loom.

My local Toyota dealer say the loom is for an Avensis so cannot fit my Rav.

They say I need to find an 'accessory' loom to link the sat nav to my head unit.

Does anyone have any knowledge about these issues please?

Do I actually need a new loom for this (its no longer available through Toyota apparantly!) or would the Avensis one be OK (if a little long!).

I really need any help you can offer.

I fitted 1 a couple of years ago the lead was long anyway and if you follow this link

in the search field for 'accessory group' select 'navigation', then click 'search' for all official toyotas installation manuals including tns200, as used by Toyota to install their own accessories. it shows what the cable should have on it ?

this information was originally supplied by SMW in a previous topic

(search for tns200) there's some useful info in there

it might be worth having a look at the avensis navigation installation manual to compare the 2 cables
