Mine has become quite stretched. Is there any way of tightening them?

A friendly Dealership may try and tighten it for free, if it cant be tightened new cables needed.

Mine has had the same problem, i talked my dealer into fixing it for free...at the time i had like 1 week left on warranty!

handbrake cables stretching aren't covered by warranty unless they snap or something like that.

however, it is a 2 min job to tighten them up so i'm not suprised you got it for for free.

Cheers for the replies. I bought it from a main dealer at the end of september. It is 18 months old. 12500k miles. How easy is it to adjust?

using haynes manual spanner guides, i'd say 1.5 spanners -

ad just it at the handbrake not the wheel.
