Following from my post asking for opinions not so long ago, I've decided to get a disklok steering wheel lock. I know what size I need but it comes in 3 colours & I'm not sure which 1 I like most.

You can get it in:

Yellow

Silver

or Chrome

What would you go for?

Thanks all

Hmmm... my opinion is THEY ALL MING!

if you absolutely -HAVE- to get one... silver I spose is the least offensive to the eyes....

but why not invest in a decent alarm and immobiliser instead...

I'm guessing he already has an alarm and immobiliser and the disklock is extra protection,

that what i got one for.

A disklock after all is not a fashion accessory ;)

I've got both but I want to put off the opportunist scum that don't know about the alarm & immobiliser when they're deciding what car to rob

Lol - I'm just thankful I live in an area where I don't need to buy stuff that mings in order to put people off nicking my car.... :D

Which rock 'ard car theif in their right mind, would nick a car which is noted in colour as "Cashmere gold" anyways? :D

Is the vectra the new cavalier ?

When i was growing up it was all the rage to nick cavaliers cause they were an easy target

I suppose the vectra will be a bit better though and harder to nick .

I have a cat1 alarm/immobiliser but daft scottish junkie tea-leafs tend to be too stupid to notice them so a big **ck-off silver steering wheel lock should hopefully deter them . I only ever use it when i have to park somewhere dodgy , like parkhead :thumbsup:

Yellow....

at the end of the day it's a detterant, nothing else. The more obvious the better!!

If someone wants to steal your car, they will regardless!

It's pretty much followed on from the Cav, but with the Cav's, there tends to be more available, and there's the oh so loveable 4x4 Turbo version still knocking around.

It tends to be more reliable than a vectra too - if they nicked mine, first thing they'd see is the temp gauge problem (only electrical - car's been checked and not overheating), so they'd prolly dump it... :D

The Chrome one is possibly better for soft tops with the hood down

I don't live in an area of high car crime, it's when I'm parking it in other places of course

I don't think any person in their right mind would nick any car full stop

I'd not buy any, they look !Removed!, are a PITA to lug about, can scratch the leather on the steering wheel, and can be removed in under 20 seconds bya "good" thief.

A better idea is a snap oif steeringhweel boss... take the wheel with you :D I have one going spare in VW/Porsche/Audi fitment if anyone is after one
