Just Wondering, What Would A Total Respray Of A E11 Cost?

I've been thinking a lot about cars recently, and one of my ideas is to get my E11 - 3dr hatch 98 Rolla resprayed black (it's super red2) , I was wondering what sort of money i'd need? It'll probably never happen, but it's one possible idea if the Celica plan falls through.

£800-£1,300 for just an outer re-srpay depending obviously on where you go. Bit crap if you're changing the car colour as people will run a mile with mix-matched engine bays and boot floors.

Bare metal respray = $$$$'s

My dad has a large bodyshop outside Belfastand normally runs a mile from people who asks this. (it's not worth it for him.) If you do a proper job you are stripping the car right down the the axles so it has something to roll on. The amount of labour involved in stripping and rebuilding and entire car is ridiculous. You are talking over a hundred hours for at least.

To respray anything but a kit car or a restoration is not worth it in my opinion. I advise using the money to buy an original black corolla that will hold value and not raise eyebrows when sold.

Thanks for the help, I had no idea it was that expensive, or difficult to do!! I think I'll keep plan "A" and get a Celica after a few months saving!
