I have just bought a TNS500 for my Yaris which plan to fit in the small compartment below the CD player. I currently have a TNS 200 with the traffic module attached to the side of the unit which gives me traffic info. I was wondering if this will work on the TNS500 as I have all that is necessary to connect to the TNS500 main unit but do not know if it is compatable i.e is the cd coded for traffic info and will the unit detect the module?

Any help welcome

Alan

It should work, you just need to find out if the unit will pick up the signal. Its a standard FM signal, so if you can input the signal into the unit, and the connector is the same i would imagine that 90% its going to work.... one way to find out!

Will give it a go, just testing the water to see if anyone has tried it before. Hopefully won't fry myself in the process

Well the FM signal is standard so I imagine that it can read it, a TNS500 would logically lead you to believe that it is an upgrade from a 200 wouldn't it!
