Spare Wheel

Hi all, hope everyone's enjoying their Aygo's!

Drove into a hole a few days ago (a small hole but fairly deep), so it nicely bent my wheel and gave me a flat, so obviously had to change the wheel, my first time so very proud!

Just wondering if anyone knew of somewhere to get a new spare wheel cheaply, Toyota After Sales Centre is quoting me £120+, which is ghastly. :censor: ONE wheel dammit! Before anyone says eBay, I'm about to look, but doubt I'll have much luck.

As another question, does anyone know the diameter and whether the actual wheel is made from steel or alloy? It's an 06 5-door Aygo+.

i have a full set of aygo wheels if you are intrested,with good tyres car only done 4000 miles with them

i have just had some alloys fitted.

Get onto the council and take some pics of the hole.

Also get a friend to phone the council to complain about the hole before you phone. If the council have notification about the hole then they are liable. Jusy make sure you know the hole is still there before you say your accident happened.

I know about this as a friend hit a HUGE hole which required 2 new alloys and tyres + a full suspension check, total bill ~£600. He phoned the council who said they were not liable as they had no prior knowledge so could not be held responsible. The guy ended up going through insurance.

I actually ended up going to a tyre place that came recommended to me. Showed them the wheel, 5 minutes and £3 later it was all fixed. Don't think it's worth the hassle trying to recoup that now!

If anyone is from around the west london area i'll gladly recommend this place to them.

scrapyard, look on google for scrap aygo/107/c1 they wont charge too much, ive seen a few on there, spares mean nothing to them, goes for most people in need of parts, can get good stuff from them very cheap too!

haha 120.00??? thats good! lol they quoted me 175 when i damaged mine plus a tyre on top of that of 40.00. 6 months later i still hadnt sorted it (too pricey) i went back to toyota to get it done finally where they quoted me 220!!!! for the wheel only! i thought screw that! it wasnt that badly damaged i just painted it again! lol
