15 X ?

Hi.

My TS wheels are corroded and look awful. Using them as my winter wheel to let them enjoy the salt and rain even more :)

Id say i will get some 15s for their replacements...they seem to be the best for performance.

Just wondering what width people have had experiences with. currently the TS wheels are 15 x6.5 afaik so id be hoping to go for wider to make it more stable when cornering. So my options are 15 x 7 and 15 x 7.5 or even 15 x 8 if they exist? Would some of these catch on the arch (i know offset will have something to do with it also)

Another question is their much difference in handling with 16s...maybe they cut acceleration or something...?

16" with lower profiles will be the same size (Circumference in contact with road) as 15" with the standard tyres on  this should mean no loss in performance with maybe handling improved with lower tyre walls so less flex and if they are lightweight wheels will still accelerate the same.

The standard T-Sport alloys are only 5.5" wide. I used to have 6" wide wheels with Toyo tyres and it handled really well but my HKS coilovers probably helped too! :D

I'd go for a 6" or 7" wide wheel.

According to our resident tyre fitter (cfc1):

15"- with 195/50x15 will fit without arch modifications (195/45x15 if lowering is planned) PDC 4x100, 15x7J, ET38, would be best
