Engine Problem! Help?

hi wondering if anyone can shed any light on a problem my cars developed over the past week. :(

When i accelerate or try to take away the engine doesnt respond and dies but if i let the throttle up before the engine dies it fires bak into life but then when i put my foot down again it cuts out. When u turn the key it starts up again without any trouble but the same thing happens.:censor:

it doesnt do this all the time, as i said it only been within the last week. the cars has never given me any problem in the 8months ive had the car.

i would have the engine running while checking for an air leak possibly a pipe split somewere or try cleaning throttle butterfly probably carboned up .next would be idle air control vavle if yours is fitted with one not sure if it is without seeing engine

Sounds like either:

A fuel problem - fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator

or

The Throttle position sensor

or

The MAP sensor

Can you put it on a diagnostic program?
