i have just had an engine replaced at my local dealer,to me it does not feel any better than when it went in for this work.

i was offered no warranty on this work and when i asked if there was any paperwork to say that this work had been carried out i was told that all records were kept on file with the dealers, has anyone had a engine replaced and did they recieve any warranty on this work, i would be grateful to know if toyota issue warranty on any work carried out and if they issue it in writing, many thanks davo.

I had a new engine in a 2001 corolla 1.4 due to high oil use. I never got any paper work but was given 12 months warrenty on the engine. My dads just had his avensis engine changed again high oil use but no paper work but the same 12 months warrenty.

many thanks steve i will check with my dealer about warranty on this work,i just thought we would have some kind of documentation to state that such a major thing as an engine was replaced.davo..

toyota do not like to admit bad known fault and this is because so many customers have paid out up front have a look at the american website for toyota and lexus

THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAW ACTION IN PROGRESS !!!!!!!

My girlfriends MR2 having engine changed. First few times asked for paperwork showing what the problems were and what was being done they said no. Called Toyota head office, ranted and raved. Went back to where the the work is being done and suddenly they had all the paperwork ready. Be firm, they have to give it to you if you ask for it.

local dealer customer services contacted me today asking if i was pleased with the service i received,i said i would like some proof that the work had been carried out and was covered by way of a warranty,i have now been assured that the documentation i have asked for will be made available this week. many thanks davo..
