XS Power Downpipe - £80

Super Motoria Exhaust system from XS Power - £349.00

Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator from Fensport - £86 + vat

Blitz SUS Power LM filter Element from Fensport - £36 + vat

NGK Iridium Sparkplugs @ £7.95 + VAT each from Fensport

Thor Fuel Cut Defender - £80 from Thor

Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller - £200 from eBay

Apexi S-AFC2 Fuel Computer - £150 from eBay

Thats the way i would do it. You 'could' go for a unichip or a Power FC for example but i much preffer the twin Apexi setup myself for ease of use/installation.

Thor Fuel Cut Defender - £80 from Thor

 These are very much frowned upon, not something I would consider, the fuel cut is there for a reason remember chaps.

As dawesy says, a high flow filter, downpipe and zaust system (careful you dont get boost creep if you go for 3" though) and an electronic boost controller to 1.1bar should see you knocking on 300bhp :)

Should be able to do it for under £700.

depends what you got on your car already mate? most 4's already have an induction kit and exhaust. then all you need is an ebc. this will take you very close to 300bhp

as far as i know its a stock 205 from japan, looks pretty stock too,id like to do it the best way so is it just a case of a ebc? what about all this talk about boost creep?

Your going to need a fuel cut defender or else your gonna be headbutting the windscreen  Yes the cut is there for a reason on a standard car, but on a modified car its a restriction and is safe to remove IF you do it correctly. The reason i said the THOR product and not something like a HKS is because the Thor version moves the cut up rather than removes it all together which means its still there if the worst happens.

Yeah i mean you could do it for a lot less than i said but thats just how i would do it and have done it in the past. If i remember correctly all i did to make 300 on my first st205 was filter, decat, blitz nur r and unichip.

1st you could do with getting an exhaust and an induction kit or panel filter... then go for an ebc.

boost creep will only become a problem if you do a straight through 3" exhast system. if i was you this would be the parts i would get, and the order i would do them in:

-Induction kit, Apexi seems to be most commonly used (make cold air feed)

-Aussie 3" Downpipe

-Blitz 2.75" cat back system

-EBC.. increase boost to 1.1bar

(note: you will still be running the stock flexi section of the exhaust, you may want to get the 2.5" aussie flexi to squeeze out a little more bhp)

This is why i recommended the Super Motoria. its a full 3" from the cat back with a 3" flexi pipe too and is very very similar to the Nur design for a lot less $$$. I've not had one myself but was on the waiting list for one before i sold my 2nd st205. The XS Power downpipe is also very similar in shape to the aussie but is 3" thick also, so in conjunction with the Motoria you got 3" from turbo back :lol: Dunno if they were any good but on paper was very attractive at half the price of an auzzie with a blitz

Yep I have heard bad things about their Celica stuff. They just cant seem to get it right when it comes to GT4's.

I've got XS Power Exhaust Headers and LordED has an XS Power manifold on his s13 and we havent had any problems.

a FCD should not be needed on a 205. it is there because thats where the map stops and the ecu runs out of positions. unless your upgrading the fuel system and fitting a mappable ecu, you dont need one.

im getting 470bhp with blitz 850cc injectors and a walboro 225ltr fuel pump, stck FPR and fuel filter.

if your running std pistons , dont go above 1.1- 1.2 bar as your ringlands WILL go. then when you have a forged rebuild, get a propper ecu and do it properly.

fcd's are like bleed valves crude and, in the long term, expensive ways of getting power.

as ling as you keep to a 2-2.5" flexi boost creep wont be a problem. the mongoose or blueflame system is very very good value.

as for XS power stuff they do need to look at there products a bit more. ive fitted a few of their DP's now and they all have fitting issues. once on though they work very well
