ive just rang both Farmer & Carlisle and Sturgess.

Farmer & Carlisle - £197 incl

Sturgess - £181 incl

according to Sturgess the service retails at £197 exactly what toyota quoted me. Sturgess gave me £10 discount over the retail price.

So the prices isnt that bad. I guess it all depends on the car model?

im going to go with Farmer & Carlisle, seeing the difference isnt that much.

Weird how all toyota garages have different prices!!

It's cause they'll be a basic price given to them by Toyota, which they are then free to add to, with differing labour fees, etc, in different areas.

Still stupid though - I could get a £100 difference with Toyota, within a 30 miles square radius, becuase of 5 different dealers, in 3 counties...

I'm shocked, especially beings as F&C quoted me £275 incl! I'd really like to know where they got that figure from!

Yes my price with Sturgess included the 10% discount - is your price inclusive of the brake fluid change as well?

If one gets the servicing done from a non Toyota dealer, or independant garage, then can this invalidate the Toyota warranty?

ONLY if they don't use Toyota parts

I may be visiting my local mechanic Kevin, i'm not sure yet! I had an official Mr T service last year, and got raped basically, so as my car's coming up on 6 years old i think i might just go to the local boys!
