How Do You Disable The Alarm?

Hello

I have an xt3 04. Although I have not had a problem with the alarm yet, I fear it might occur. If so can anyone advise me how I can turn off the alarm albeit temporarily:-

Remove the fuse? - If so where is this located?

Disconnect negative terminal on Battery?

Does anyone know whether it is possible to just immobilise the car without setting the alarm.

Any advice appreciated

Thank you

The immobiliser is completely separate from the alarm. Immobilisation is effected by just removing the ignition key. The alarm has no immobilising function, only perimetric and volumetric sensing for theft/un-authorised entry. Just locking up with the key in the door barrel does not set the alarm. The alarm is only set wirelessly. The chip in the key which is read to turn off the immobiliser does not even need the Battery in the key to function. The Battery is purely for the transmitter.

Thank you mr-g for the clarification.

Do you or anyone know what the 'contractors' physically do to turn off an alarm when called out by local councils?

thank you
