New Under Engine Cover Cracked?

Hi,

Just picked up a "Cover, Engine Under No.1" for my MK4 Supra, as it dint have one and the muck getting around the engine bay is bothering me.. :)

Anyways i picked it up today but was concerned at the fact it seems to have a cut down the center from the rear, were it would attach to the suspension frame, to about halfway up. It looks to me like its be made that way, but at the moment im having an argument with me old man who thinks a box cutter has ran across it.

Heres a small diagram showing where the split is (see red line)

What i want to know, to settle an argument, and probably start one with the garage i bought the thing from, is this normal? It looks ok to be as the cut is dead center and has not distortion around the edges or at the end, but i dont wanna fit the thing and be wrong.

Anyway thanks for reading and i appreciate any input....

From memory it came slipt like that on my old soarer, -which is esentially the same car!

Why not just call them up and ask? Toyota parts dpeartments are usually very fussy about checking goods before they go out.

Hi,

Yeah as i thought its right enough, i double checked with Toyota parts today and thats right enough, is just there was a heated argument going on last night about it :)

The Soarer's part number is the same on the under panel as the Supra, i checked my EPC just out of interest.

Happy Supra now anyways
