you need to give us more info? completely depends on what sort of power you want to run and money you want to spend

Plus anti lag will kill any turbo if you run it alot... It's the heat and presure waves that do the damage.

Might want to think about a ball bearing turbo they tend to be able to take a bit more abuse in the bearing area but the blades are going to be as prone to damage as any other turbo, except maybe cerramic ones they tend to be a bit on the brittle side... That's the other upside to having a UK 205 they come with all steel turbos where as the JDM ones have cerramic bits.

8,000 miles and only about 20 mins of antilag spaced out in 1 or 2 minute spells, saw the end of the 360 deg thrust bearing in my stage 2 ct20b. my advice is dont bother with antilag. it is absolutely no use any where but on a rally stage! if you want flames get a flamer kit!

however if your looking at a new tubby the greddy TD06 18G kit is very good and gives a very nice power band with full boost availiable at around the 3,500 rpm mark and will flow upto about 450bhp. dont get the ATS kit thogh as they're poo

if you shop around in the states they can be had for about £1500 thats the full hit incl manifold/ adaptor, DP oil and water lines etc.

that was mainly the ATS kit. their DP and assosiated bits were of poor design and manufacture, the tubbie itself is ok. plus with the greddy kit the turbo is modified too, where as the ATS kit used a stock mitsi unit

Or you could go for the TurboTechnics CT hybrid, they do 2 versions stage one is good for 380+ and about £700-800, stage 2 is for higher power can't remember the exact figures but above 450 cost about 1500 i think...

Good thing is that they are just a straight swap with the stock turbo so you don't have to mess about making new support brackets and changing oil lines etc.

Don't have to worry about boost creep either as Turbotechnics have designed a new exhaust housing for their hybrid which replaces the twin port wastegate with a large single port one and is also opened up a bit more than the normal ct housing which gets round the normal exhaust side restrictions and allows the use of larger turbine wheels which is nice... :D

my experiance with hybridised CT turbos is that they never last long.

every one ive ever seen, be it from fennies, turbo technics or any where else has suffered from relaxing oil seals. ive had two from turbo technics and both smoked after being left for 5 mins on idle!!!!.

the other thing is that any ct, hybrid or stock will never give you the smack in the back that an aftermarket tubbie gives, they're just too linear.

just my 2c's worth

That's interesting only my understanding is that the new Turbo Technics hybrid with the garrett wastegate conversion is effectively the same as their T3 hyrbid for the cossie (garrett compressor etc) and they give you a fair old slap in the back from the experience of my mates saff cossie...

It pretty different to the fensport/turbo dynamics CT hybrids best i've personally seen out of the top fensport hybrid is about 360 where as the turbo technics stage 1 is rated above 380. I've talked to a few guys on the OC and DC who have them and they all seem quite impressed by them, I might have to see if I can get a ride see what their really like...

Hadn't heard of anyone having problems with the oil seals before though, might have to look into that cheers for the warning dawesy.
