Some New Owner Questions...

i have just picked up my 55 plate avensis 2.0 spirit tourer and have some questions regarding the spec:

- it has a tape deck and single slot cd but does it have a cd changer anywhere? also, can you fit a hard disk anywhere to store your music?

- does the stereo voice recognition work well?

- can you have the official toyota reverse parking sensors fitted afterwards?

- it has the full map sat nav but can this be upgraded so that you can use post codes?

i was surprised to see that it doesn't appear to have auto headlights... yet i had a 2006 lower spec hire car from work the other week and it had auto lights - is this a new feature? because my car appears to have what i think is a light sensor mounted on the dashboard near the windscreen - but there's no 'auto' on the stalk

Have you looked in the glovebox for the changer? Doubt you can fit a HD.

Yes, I believe you can.

I have a feeling that auto lights were added on the facelift; the sensor is probably for the auto-wipers?

The little black light sensor near the windscreen is for the climate control!

the auto-wiper sensor is behind the rear view mirror

the auto lights is a indeed a face-lift mod

(I could do with them, then if i had an auto-box, with cruise control, then I'd only have to point it in the right direction!!)
