Hi all Merry Christmas.

Well Christmas came early for me as it was my last day at my old job yesterday and as a leaving present I got £60 of Halford Vouchers (obviously know me well) which is now burning a hole in pocket but am going to wait to after xmas hopefully some sales, anyway I cant decide what to buy, I am leaning towards an exhaust but I know nothing about them, my mind thought was there are just ones for styling, ones that make a cool noise and ones that improve performance? is that right? and do I have to tell my insurance co if I get one? how will I know what noise I want? will it void my warranty?? sooooooo many questions, your thoughts on exhausts or any other ideas on what to spend it on aswell would be great.

60 won't get you much of an exhaust and the things that just go on the end of the OEM are just a bit sad IMO.

I think the Aygo has a good sound anyway so I wouldn't bother - also unless you go TTE you will probably invalidate warranty.

In your situation I would spend the 60 on a shorter aerial, larger rear wiper, silver indicator bulbs and a nicer gear knob.

Silver bulbs about £13 - gets rid of the nasty orange look -

I have a Richbrook sabre aerial which is nice and short - it is brass centre so reception is fine and has anti theft grub screws - no pic though sorry - try Demon Tweeks site

Where did you buy the silver indicates?

SMW is right, £60 wont buy you much in the way of an exhaust.

A replacement backbox is going to cos you from about £ 160 upwards if you go for a Powerflow etc.

Custom Performance at Newtoft would be worth talking to if you want to go that route. Otherwise you are looking at

one of the European silencers that keep apearing on the forum from time to time but these are upwards of £300.

But what has been suggested, the indicator bulbs, aerial etc would be a good ideal to get with your vouchers. If you have any money left over, spend it on good quality cleaning products to keep your beast looking mint  Everyone seems to be doing 3 for 2 on polish and stuff, so its not going to cost too much.

You should be able to get the bulbs from Halfords. Have a look in their styling department.

Exhaust...probably only worth getting an exhaust trim and spending the rest on decent motor oil for your next service.

Iridium spark plugs are another reliable modification, which perform better than the standard plugs. Insurance shouldn't mind this modification because sparkplugs are consumable items anyway. Maybe someone here can advise the correct NGK part number? Will also need to find out the correct gap and torque setting too. I'm sure your local toyota garage can find out for you

I also suggest getting some floor mats, and chrome wheel nut covers. Maybe a push-light for the boot.
