Gt4 Smoke Machine

Looks like my Head Gasket has gone pop, temp is goign high when not moving, smoke coming out of water overflow pipe, and mayonaise under the oil cap ... sounds like the head gasket. Anybody think otherwise, before i pull it to bits?

I aint no expert and even i would say thats the HG... Sorry to hear that matey... Were you playing with increased boost?

Yes have been running more boost, .9 bar max though. My dads a mechanic, so will set him to it, have it done in a day i reckon. Gonna have to go standard on the bits though, cant afford the uprated bits. Mind you its lasted 17 years so it cant be that bad

When i bought it 2 months ago, it was supposed to have a blown HG so i have done well really. Was expecting to have do it when i bought it. Get the head skimmed aswell i suppose so might be off the road for a little while

quick update >> after further inspection found a set of water pipes which lead to the base of the oil filter, so it must be watercooled or something. One of these has been dripping, loosing water. Cant get to it tonight though , will be weekend untill i can get time and parts.

So filled it back up with water, and it seems to be running ok, now water or visual HG problems, so time will tell.

Took it for a rahter manly drive to soutport last night from preston, and the heatre gage hasnt budged an inch. so headgasket seems to be in tact . Get this pipe sorted and all is well..
