the *best* way is to snatch that 5S out and swap in a 3SGTE, then start the mods from there

If your really serious before you put the 3s-gte in Open the thing up, bore it out to 2.4 L. Put high compression pistons and rings in. High Tollerance rods would be good too. Now we are talking, 250 maybe, Then you rebuild the head, get a beafier turbo and intercooler, exhaust,intake, new fuel rail, fuel pump, new injectors, new intake manifold, and wow you've just spend 15k on a car that has 400 hp

why do all that

all you need is a late spec 3s-gte forged pistons and rods. garret ball bearing turbo from fensport, motec m4 ecu, 950cc injectors mapped and runing 400bhp

well if you do all that plus the rest of the crap i said then your looking at 500hp arn't ya. lol i'm sure we could talk about how to build the perfect celica all day though
