Tranport On Roof Rack

From time to time I have to transport a load of 5.15 meters on my RAV 5 door.

I have 2 roofracks mounted on the original roofbars. I have max 82 cm in between. This is not enough to support this long load.

I want to add an additional support but I don't know where to put it. Nothing can stick out of the front of the car.

I thought of mounting an additional roofbar just after the front screen.

I thought of contructing a support with suction cups on the motor hood. I don't like this idea (paint damage, suction cups coming loose on the highway)

Does anyone has any ideas?

I sometimes attach ladders to my bars then use thes to carry long loads such as guttering etc.
