Idling & Aircon

Hello again!

I've had this problem with the car for years, but after one mechanic failed to diagnose the issue, I sort of accepted it being a characteristic of the car.

The car; ST162, 3SFE engine 1989 gen4

on cold Idle, she will focus to around 2000rpm, or higher which seems excessive

once warmed, it will idle at 750rpm which I believe is accurate for this particular engine

but once it's had a chance to warm up and the A/C is switched on, it will almost cut out at the traffic lights, idling at an embarrasing 450rpms or lower, and this will be quite irratic. In other words, the needle on the tacho will fluctuate up and down like a heartbeat!

Has anyone got a solution to this dilema?

Cheers!
