Mini Fuses

Has any other owner of an Aygo, Prius, Honda Civic, Vauxhall Corsa, Citroen or Peugeot that uses the new low profile mini blade fuses (chip style) had the misfortune of having one blow only to be told that these don't exist! even my local dealership cant get them and NO source exists other than the manufacturer for another 6 months. if anyone can find a source for these in the UK can they please post details.

I have tried the standard mini blade fuses as a temporary stopgap these fit in the slot but poke so far above the fuses its impossible to put the fusebox cover back on. They are a great move forwards (like the wedge bulbs used instead of the cap types) but availability of spares should be much much better.

Out of interest, have you tried Honda or Vauxhall . If they use them too then there's a slim chance that you could get some joy there.

I've never come across these myself. If this is the way things are going then I'll stick with my 16yr old car for a bit longer !

Old post i know but......

Clicky

thanks for that info but that only give the 'old' mini blade fuses that you CAN get! not the low profile (blade-less mini blade fuses) that are required. Even my dealer can't get them until May and they sell a whole range of vehicles that take them

Thanks for that they are having problems too! apparently over 12 vehicles (japanese, US and european) are fitting them but no-one thought that they should issue spare parts until 2007!

if you own one of these vehicles this problem will affect you too:-

Audi A2 (2006-

VW Fox

BMW 1 Series

Vauxhall/Opel Corsa (2006-

Honda Civic (2006-

HONDA CR-V (2007-

LANDROVER DISCOVERY 2

Toyota Aygo

Toyota Auris

Toyota Prius

Hyundai Ceepee (or whatever it is)

and several others!!

once I find a supplier with items in stock I will post further! even the dealer cant get any until Easter!

Nice attempt but:-

Littlefuse won't sell to public and ALL of their UK listed stockists are not allowed to sell them

Mouser has them in stock but they are 'export restricted' so can only be sold to domestic US/Canadian addresses

It seems that waiting until my Dealer gets the Fuses in May (1/2 year after the fuse blew) is the ONLY option.
