First time ive been in the celica section, normally in the Mr2 section!

But it goes like this! My girlfriend is looking for a new shape celica and has about 8k to spend!

The most important thing for her is for it to be at least a 1800cc and have a 'Nice interior'!! (Girly thing)

Anyway not knowing much about the new celica I was hoping for some advice on purchasing one and maybe a good dealers around the leeds area aswel!!

Hope this all makes sense

Cheers in advanced!!!

J

There are 2 different engines, both 1.8. The VVTi (140bhp) and the VVTLi (190bhp) The latter is known as the "190" or later models as the T-Sport. The L stands for "Lift" and an almost instantaneous 30-40 additional horses kick in at ~6000RPM. The range had minor changes in 2003 I believe.

As for the buying tips someone will undoubtedly tell you more but you should look to get a 190 really and £8k may get you a 6year old one. For ref. my brother got a low milage, mint 190, 52 plate for about £9.9 6months ago.
