hi,

yeh i will add some pics soon.

I chose the toyota sub as it simply plugs into the headunit in the back. No wires through the car, no wire to the Battery or any mess.

I looked at the diesel link thanks for that...you can tune the 2.0 D-4D up to 148hp which would be awesome but with the mileage I do i dont want to affect the warranty!

the tweeters are mounted in the A pillar just below the curtain airbag, improves it soooo much!

Definately go for the blue IMO the best and only colour with tints it just looks really good!

Im thinkin getting the kahn alloys refurb in a titanium colour?

opinions?

cheers

I've heard that if you buy the unit that boosts your BHP to 148, from TTE then it doesn't void your waranty, however I think they charge an arm and a leg for it. But from what I've heard the unit thing is easy to plug in and out, so it might just mean taking it out when you take ur mota in for it's service.. I think that should be cushdee :)

I'm sooo going to get a Dump Valve.. sweet :-)

Ye I'd like to see some pics, that would be cool.. cheers :-)

As for the sub.. ye... running wires through sounds a bit like a mission n prob will require rather a lot of work.... hmm... going to have to think about that one :-(

What do the Kahn alloys look like?

Yeh the TTE ones will be expensive!

the alloys look like this:

http://www.kahnstore.com/wheels/kahn_rsv_a...heels/index.php

I saw them on a T Sport in red and they looked awesome so I bought them.

I have two sets of them actually because I found some from a motor parts trader closing down.

If your interested in a set they are £250 for 4 and they have been professionally refurbished in silver so look brand new.

Let me know if your interested and i ll get some actual pics of them in the boxes.

cheers

They look well nice :-)

£250 for 4 alloys... damn man... thats super cheap... what size are they?

Ye the TTE is really expensive, but like I said... I think you should be able to put the box in and out rather easily.

Cheers

Oooo smoftah you tease lol

How come the Kahn site says only RSR and RSS fit the corolla?

I'm sooo very tempted.. and at that price I would need my head examined not to snap them right up.... gota asses my finances and get back to ya man.... ooo... they look sooo slick :-)

yeh they do fit the corolla I know it does not say it but I rang them direct before i bought mine and they said they do fit the corolla E12.

Sure just pm me or post on here when you know what you want mate.

These are just for the alloys though I dont have tyres yet.

They cost £700 without tyres on from these guys.

So you closer to deciding what corolla you going to go for?

I had the SR in Alsace Granite, it was the 1.6 engine. If its better performance you want I woulld go for the diesel as the 1.6 is a bit sluggish, it revs round nice but dosnt seem to pull that well. Fuel economy I didnt thinnk was that good either, I ave about 29 around mixed driving, im getting that in Tsport.

Car is nice though whichever engine you choose, if it was me I would go for SR rather than get colour collection and then mod it to look like SR, not sure what the diff in price will be for trade in time, but norm a dearer model rola will fetch little bit more than a cheaper model, and you wont get nythong bck for all body kit you put on a colour collection as they will price the car as a colour collection,

Just my thoughts your money spend it the way you want.

Sadly the only unit available from TTE is for the pre-facelifted Corolla and it will not fit the facelifted version. TTE have been looking at making one work but the emmissions regs are different for the facelifted one and so far they have not been able to sort it out.

So if you have square lights at the back and not circular the TTE one will fit?

*Hopes so

Yup, also the front lights will have a straight bottom rather than a rounded bit near the front grill... I think the face lift rollas were about Jul/Aug 04 onwards. Although I'm confused, I thought the only difference between the pre-face lift and the face-lift was the fact that they changed the body work... I didn't think they had changed the engines?? Or is just because around that time the EU bought in new legislation? Any1 have any ideas?

Well I know for starters that the face lift diesels have front fog lights where as the pre doesn't .....

So the wiring must be different for starters

There must have been some engine related changes as the pre-faclift engine puts out 110bhp and the facelifted one gives 116bhp. Though this is possibly a tweak of the ECU.

i got my SR for £12900

hi m8, if u want to tune the car, id think the diesel actually has more tuning parts for it, i hav the 1.6 petrol and no tuning parts for my car, not even a induction kit, but they do a induction kit for the 1.4, wots that all about.

heres some photos of my car, its a colour collection, but with the TTE spoiler, TTE front lip, TTE exhaust etc

All TTE kit should be available from your local Toyota dealer. What's available for the facelift is shown here

I went into dealership for a colour collection 5dr diesel so I could get a black car (again).

After ordering, rear tints, front lip spoiler, rear spoiler. an extra £300 gets me the SR with sensible 16" alloys in price. it was a no brainer for me, And the Granite grey was a nice slight change in look.

I'll be picking John's brain about the diesel tuning market, plus the links have been useful too.

Ok... now your all probably going to hate me for this, but I've been doing some serious thinking... and.. well... looking at the millage I would be doing if I got this new job (which would be 60+ miles a day) I'm thinking about the prius... thats right.. you heard me correctly... the prius. Still not sure though as its a very expensive car... so may just go back to getting the Rolla SR.

Any thoughts on this?
