Pardon me if this has been posted and answered befoe. I am a newbe here!

I have a 1998 Camery and after several hours trying to remove the rear speaker grills, I am

asking the experts... I tried prying with a screwdriver but it felt like the grills would just break. I tried removing the entire rear panel where the grills are located but appears on the sides there may be a fastener I am not finding. Any help, advice, or direction is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Jerry

You might want to remove the 3rd brake light if you have it. Then remove the 3 child seat holders. Push the rear grill cover to the left or right and pull on the side where you can easily get it out.

I agree...there are some little retainer clip type things that fasten the speaker grilles to the body, you will need to remove the third brake light, fold the seat down. You might even have to remove the whole thing, the light, the seats, the carpet, the shelf itself, and then the grilles. But good luck...
