Bonnet Lining

Hi, any GT owners removed the lining in the bonnet?

It holds heat in and looks rubbish, and I was thinking of whipping it out.

Just wondering if anyone had done it and noticed any fade on the paint on the bonnet, due to the heat, bearing in mind my car is red, not the most stable paint colour.

GT4s also have it, and mine is gone :)

Loads on the gt4oc have also done the same with no effects to paintwork ;)

Thanks,

It's gone

Wise man. Also if you want better airflow through the engine bay, remove the front and rear sealing strips. ;)

The front one should be under the leading edge of the bonnet. The rear is the strip that runs along the top of the bulkhead, just below the wipers.

top advice :)

you also get to tell if you have a seeping cam seal too, if you don't run a cambelt cover like me......... get a nice splattered line on the underside of the bonnet
