Wiper Help Needed

OK, I pretty much typed this question a while ago in the wipers thread, but got no real help.

I've been scratching my head for weeks now trying to figure out how I replace the front wiper on my Aygo, and I'm no nearer a solution. Could somebody PLEASE explain to me how I get the existing wiper off so that I can put my new one on?

I just pulled mine as far as it would go (about 2 inches from screen) and that gave me enough room to slide the old one off and replace .

Sorry, if this is no help at all but seeing as no-one has replied yet, are you talking about the complete unit from the wiper arm? If so, and I really am guessing here (nearest I get to an Aygo is in the showroom when I go for a service or whatever), there is usually a little plastic clip near the hinge which you depress then slide the blade down off the metal wiper arm.

Or, go to your nearest Mr T and ask them to do it for you! Make sure they show you how though so you can do it next time.

I think it's not about actually changing the blade it's the fact that on Aygo the front arm doesn't lift away from the screen in conventional manner

To be clear, I just want to change the wiper blade, not remove the entire arm (although I have considered the latter in moments of rage)
